Convexa is a Norwegian venture investment company.  The company was founded in 2000 by dr. Bjørge Gretland after he had established and developed two other venture capital groups. Convexa is owned by Bjørge Gretland.

The company invests in early-stage/growth technology companies that promise to deliver high growth/returns by having the potential to become tomorrow´s winners. Convexa is an early stage investor with focus on accelerating technology companies to international markets. We bring first-class competence and high energy level to talented entrepreneurs. We provide broad strategic and operational insights including business development skills, know-how to go international, operational efficiency, network expansion and strategic planning. In addition, we provide strong private and public financing and exit capabilities (take companies public, strategic sales, Mergers & Acquisitions, etc). Convexa has over the years invested in a large number of start-up companies and has led and participated in several investment syndicates. In the US, Convexa is actively investing in companies particularly based in Florida and California. In Europe, most of the companies that Convexa invests in have a Norwegian origin.

PROFILE

BJØRGE GRETLAND

holds a Siviløkonom (Master of Economics) and a Dr. Oecon (PhD) in strategy and finance from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH). He was a Research Scholar at Stanford University 1989-1991 and has broad experience from venture capital, Mergers & Acquisitions and capital markets. Mr. Gretland is board director of several Norwegian and international growth companies.

  • Technological uniqueness; the potential to become technology leader based on disruptive technology

  • Industry alliance partners; support from leading industry player

  • Large international potential, scalable business model

  • Promising entrepreneurs; high energy level with international ambitions

  • Proactive ownership involvement; 2-6 years horizon

  • Viable exit opportunities; merger, strategic sale or Initial Public Offering

2. Growth stage

We also target established growth companies that we believe can further scale their business. We assist in building an international business and in arranging private or public funding.
